Panaji Eatouts

Restaurants

Gaylord Restaurant

Upstairs at the Tourist Hotel, has a pleasant verandah over looking the Mandovi River. It's a good place for breakfast, the food is reasonable and it's used  by many travellers, though the lunch and dinner servings (especially of seafood ) are very small.

New Punjab Restaurant

It opposite the Kamat Hotel, offer good, cheap Punjabi food and more expensive tandoori specials. It's closed on Thursday.

Delhi Darbar

It on MG Rd. is another recommended tandoori place. It's one of the most popular restaurants in town and often  filly booked in later part of the evening.

Hotel Annapurna

It is a clean vegetarian restaurant around the the hotel Aroma, the food is delicious.

Goenchin

It is just off. Dr Dada Vaidya Rd. is an excellent Chinese restaurant but it's definitely a splurge option. It's open from 12:30 to 2:45 pm and 7:30 to 10:45 pm daily. The dishes are marvelous  and  fresh to.

For fruit juices, Juicy Corner, opposite the Secretarial, is a popular place with travellers. There are several pastry shops in Panaji: the best probably the Pastry Cottage, near the Hotel Nova Goa. also good is A Pastelaria, near the Goenchin Chinese restaurant.
