Gaylord Restaurant |
| Upstairs at the Tourist Hotel, has a
pleasant verandah over looking the Mandovi River. It's a good place for
breakfast, the food is reasonable and it's used by many travellers,
though the lunch and dinner servings (especially of seafood ) are very
small. |

New Punjab Restaurant |
| It opposite the Kamat Hotel, offer good, cheap Punjabi food
and more expensive tandoori specials. It's closed on Thursday. |

Delhi Darbar |
| It on MG Rd. is another recommended tandoori place. It's
one of the most popular restaurants in town and often filly booked
in later part of the evening. |

Hotel Annapurna |
| It is a clean vegetarian restaurant around the the hotel
Aroma, the food is delicious. |

Goenchin |
| It is just off. Dr Dada Vaidya Rd. is
an excellent Chinese restaurant but it's definitely a splurge
option. It's open from 12:30 to 2:45 pm and 7:30 to 10:45 pm daily.

| For fruit juices, Juicy Corner,
opposite the Secretarial, is a popular place with travellers. There are
several pastry shops in Panaji: the best probably the Pastry Cottage,
near the Hotel Nova Goa. also good is A Pastelaria, near the
Goenchin Chinese restaurant. |
