This is one of the most enchanting lake palaces of Rajasthan state, built
as a summer retreat by the third ruler of Alwar, rajah Vinay Singh. The
palace is located hidden from view by the lush green Aravali hills on three
sides and a beautiful calm lake ideal for boating, at its foothills. The
palace has been converted into a tourist hotel by the RTDC. While the paddle
boating tourists enjoy a splendid view of the palace from the lake, others
view an equally spectacular sunrise and sunset from the terrace of the
palace. The lake attracts a lot of migratory birds adding color and
music to the scene. But for the hustle of the whispering woods and chirping
birds the place promises total calm and is ideal for treks.
Address: Siliserh Palace, Siliserh , Dist. Alwar, Rajasthan.
Access: Located on the
hold to Jaipur,15 kms. from Alwar.
