Dundlod castle lies in the midst of the Dundlod village and is closely
bonded to the village people. Built in 1750 A.D. by Kesari Singh and later
renovated by the Thakurs, notably Thakur Harnath Singh, the majestic castle
has imposing walls and a moat running around it. Large courtyards, spacious
rooms with private balconies, period furniture, objects d'art, family portraits
and a well stocked library have helped Dundlod castle keep its princely
style alive and give the guest a feel of the old world charm.

Situated in the heart of Shekawati region the imposing kila
of Dundlod was built in 1750 A.D. by Kesri Singh. The castle is a mixture
of Rajput and Mughal architecture. There are minarets, mythological paintings
and motifs of flowers. The main gateway - Suraj pole leads to the middle
gate and the main courtyard. The Diwan Khana which overlooks this courtyard
is very interesting hall built in mughal style and furnished with Louis xiv and having a collection of family portraits and rare books on Indian
history. The rooms have been tastefully furnished so as to retain their
historical charm. The terraces offer spectacular view of the painted havelis
of the village. All modern amenities have been provided. Evenings are specially
enjoyable with drinks and dinner while the local village dancers enchant
the guests. The other facilities available are tennis and swimming.
