KASARGOD 

 

The northern most tip of Kerala, Kasargod is known for it's coir and handloom industries. Grey rocks and barren land amidst dense vegetation and calm lagoons,  the place has an unique aura about it.

Landmarks 
Most travellers usually head to Bekal, 16 km south of the Highway. The tall observation towers of Bekal Fort (Once huge cannon emplacements belonging to the Kadampa Dynasty), offers a panoramic view of the Lakshadweep sea.  
Another fort is at Chandragiri, south-east of Kasargod.
