The main attractions of Miao are the Mini Zoo, Tibetan refugee settlement where colourful woollen carpets of various designs are produced. The Namdapha National Park is also a few kms away. The languages spoken here are Tangsa, Singpho, Tutsa, Hindi, Assamese and English. Miao is ideal for trekking & hiking and angling on the river Noa Dihing.

Best Season to visit : October to April.

Accessibility : Nearest airport is at Dibrugarh & nearest railway station is Margherita at Tinsukia. One can reach Miao by jeep and gypsy from Margherita, Assam.

Clothing : Woollens are required in winters while cottons are suitable for summers.
