PROGRAMME 5 |
Day 01 :
Arrive Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to
hotel. Later sightseeing of Swayambhu and Kathmandu. The Kathmandu
Valley has an exotic setting. It is surrounded by a tier of green
mountain wall above which tower mighty snow-capped peaks.The history of
the Valley,according to the legends,begins with Swayambhu,or the "the
self existent".Swayambhu is,perhaps, the best place to observe the
religious harmony in Nepal. The stupa is among the most ancient in this
part of the world.The largest image of the Sakyamuni Buddha Nepal is in
a monastry next to the stupa.

Day 02 :
Kathmandu - Morning sightseeing of Changu Narayan. Changu Narayan
Temple is the most ancient temple in the Kathmandu valley. A fifth
century stone inscription, the oldest to be discovered in Nepal, is
located in the temple compound. The temple, built around the third
century, is decorated by some of the best samples of stone,wood and
metal craft in the Valley. Later sightseeing of Pashupatinath and
Boudha The Pashupati is the holiest Hindu pilgrimage destination in
Nepal. There are linga images of Shiva along with statues, shrines and
temples dedicated to other deities in the complex. Bouddhanath is among
the largest stupas in South Asia & it has become the focal point of
Tibetian Buddhism in Nepal.The white mound looms 36 meters overhead.
Later sightseeing of Patan, an ancient city situated on the southern
bank of the river Bagmati and is about 5 kms southeast of Kathmandu.
The city is full of Budhist monuments & Hindu temples with fine bronze
gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings.

Day 03 :
Kathmandu / Pokhara - Transfer from Kathmandu to Pokhara by private
vehicle.

Day 04 :
Camp - Early morning transfer to trek starting point. The country's
mountainous and terrai regions offer some of the most spectacular
trekking in the world. These treks also give you a chance to mix with
the local people and get an insight into their livelihood and culture.
A day full of trekking & spending overnight in tents after that is an
experience to remember.

Day 05 :
Pokhara-Half day of trekking and later transfer to Pokhara.Later in the
afternoon visit the beautiful Lake Phewa Tal,which is the second
largest lake in the kingdom.

Day 06 :
Pokhara/Chitwan - Morning transfer from Pokhara to Chitwan by road.
Evening visit to the jungle to see the wildlife. Later check-in at
Safari Narayani Lodge.

Day 07 :
Chitwan-A day full of jungle activities.Among the 14 national parks and
wildlife reserves in the Kingdom, the Royal Chitwan Park is the most
popular safari destination.More than 43 species of animals are found in
Chitwan.The endangered one-horned rhino,Royal Bengal tiger, Gharial
crocodile,four-horned antelope,striped hyena & the Gangetic dolphin are
the main attractions.Many adventurers also choose to go down to Chitwan
by raft. A jungle safari is an experience you will remember for a long
time.

Day 08 :
Chitwan / Kathmandu - Morning transfer from Chitwan to Kathmandu.

Day 09 :
Kathmandu - Full day free for shopping and leisure.

Day 10 :
Kathmandu - Sightseeing of Dakshinkali and Chobhar. The temple at
Dakshinkali is dedicated to the ferocious goddess who has much energy
and power. It is said that she gives strong will power and energy to
those who come to her and she loves sacrifices. The lake Chobhar is
said to have originated when Manjushri cut a deep gorge in the wall of
a huge lake to let the water out in order to observe & worship the
lotus which was emanating bright light at the centre. The bed of the
lake became Kathmandu Valley and the place where he cut the lake is
said to be Chobhar. An intricate cave is located there as well. Evening
sightseeing of Patan. The ancient city of Patan is situated on the
southern bank of the river Bagmati and is about 5 kms southest of
Kathmandu. The city is full of Buddhist monuments & Hindu temples. It
is also known as the city of artists. Lalitpur, "the city of beauty",
is another name for Patan.

Day 11 :
Kathmandu-Excursion to Nagarkot. At a height of 2,099 mtr above sea
level, the hill top is visited for viewing beautiful sunrises and
sunsets & the visitors take delight in the layout of the Kathmandu
Valley below. Later sightseeing of Bhaktapur and Thimi. Bhaktapur means
"the city of devotees" in the Sanskrit language. It is also known as
Bhadgaon. The palace complex in the middle of the city potrays the
prosperity of the Malla years and the details at which the craftspeople
then worked.The palace of fifty-five windows stands in the square and
it was home to many kings of Bhaktapur. It is perhaps the most popular
of the three Newar towns of the Kathmandu Valley. Evening at leisure.

Day 12 :
Kathmandu / Dhulikhel - Morning excursion to Namo Buddha and onto
Dhulikhel for overnight stay.

Day 13 :
Dhulikhel / Kathmandu Morning transfer from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu.
Rest of the at leisure.

Day 14 :
Kathmandu Meeting and assistance to the airport for return flight.
