Pushkar is located 11 kms west of Ajmer. It is sacred to the
Hindus as it is believed to have been created by lord bramha himself. It
is predominantly a temple town with about 400 temples and a lake encircled
by 52 ghats. Pushkar is also the site of one of the largest cattle fairs
in the world. Ajmer being close, all the nice places to visit on offer
at Ajmer are accessible from Pushkar.

The palace was built about 400 years ago by the maharaja of kishangarh
on the edge of the lake pushkar. The pushkar palace offers a spectacular
panorama of the 400 temples, banks, sand dunes and the aravalli hills.
The colorful religious ceremonies conducted on the ghats of the lake, and
other lively activities going on can be viewed from the palace. Well equipped

especially during the famous Pushkar fair. Other events available at the

Sarovar (Man Mahal) |

This is the largest royal guest house in pushkar. It was built by raja
Man Singh of amer and used by him on his trips to the holy town of pushkar.
The palace is located on the east of sarovar, the sacred lake in pushkar
and gives a clear view of the banks and temples located around sarovar.
This traditional guest house has now been turned into a hotel.
