Tezu is the headquarters of the Lohit district. The main attraction here is the Parasuram Kund especially during Winters when a fair is held during Makar-Sankranti. Pilgrims come from all over the country to take a holy dip in the kund to wash away their sins. There is a large lake called Glow Lake which can be reached on foot by one day of climbing up and down hills. The place is also ideal for rafting, boating and angling on the River Siang.

Best Season to visit : November to February.

Accessibility : Nearest airport is at Dibrugarh. Nearest railway station is Tinsukia. One can reach Tezu by bus from Tinsukia via Nansai and by ferry from Dhalaghat to Sadia and by bus from Sadia.

Clothing : Woollens are required in Winters while cottons in Summers.
