Arrive Jhansi and drive to Khajuraho enroute visiting Orchaa which boasts of its palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century. Jahangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris has a spectacular view of soaring temple spires and cenotaphs. Overnight in Khajuraho.

Morning visit Eastern & Western group of temples. The world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. Morning visit Pashupatinath Temple, Bodhnath & Bhadgaon. Visit the temple of Bodhnath, the colossal 2500 years old Stupa, one of the largest in the world. This Stupa has the all seeing-eyes of the Buddha by king Mana Deva in expiation of his sins of the advice inset with prayer wheels. Bhadgaon is a Newar city of 9th century. Visit the ancient gateway, Durbar Square, royal residential quarter of Bhupendra Malla, temple of Nytapole in pagoda style and other temples.

Morning visit Patan and Swaymbhunath Temple. Visit the Old Newar City - the historic Durbar Square, see the Golden Gate, the sky piercing temple of Teleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, other temples and old windows and carved balconies of wood, curio shops and bazaars. On
return, visit Swayambhunath, the 2500 years old Buddhist temple.
