Muthoot Backwater Cruises, The Kerala Backwaters are a network of interconnected canals, rivers, lakes and inlets, a labyrinthine system formed by more than 900 km of waterways. The perfect way to unveil the beauty of the backwaters is through backwater cruises that take you on a memorable trip on traditional houseboats called “Kettuvalloms”. These Kettuvalloms are made of jackfruit tree wood tied together with coir ropes. A waterproof coating made from boiled cashew nut shells protects the wood in water.
